Avengers: Infinity War has seen enormous success worldwide. The flick  has amassed north of $2.94 billion at the worldwide box office till date. Given the trend in revenue collection at present, analysts predict the movie may cross $3 billion mark shortly.  At the North American box office,  Marvel Studios movie has generated over $500 million. The Avengers' sequel  scored one of the biggest opening days of all time in China with $65 million, according to Forbes.

Also, Avengers: Infinity War has earned the highest revenue in box office collections among the Hollywood films in India till date.  The movie's gross box office collections topped Rs 261.46 crore in the country! The flick brings together the largest gathering of superheroes to battle it out against super villain Thanos.  The movie also saw the biggest day-one opening ever for a Hollywood movie in India.

After it was released in India on April 27, Avengers: Infinity War earned Rs 156.64 crore in week 1 and Rs 47.3 crore in the second week. Earlier, the Jungle Book (2016)  had earned Rs 261 crore in box office collection in the country. This was the highest grossing Hollywood flick in India, before the new record was set by Avengers: Infinity War. In sharp contrast with Avengers, The Jungle Book (2016)  is based on a character called Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves in a jungle in India.  The boy befriends a bear to battle a vengeful tiger. 

Other Hollywood films that have made marks at the box office in India are: Furious 7 (2015), which earned Rs 172 crore, Jurassic World (2015), which  earned Rs 152 crore, Avatar (2009), which earned Rs 145 crore, Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), which earned Rs 111 crore, and Spider-Man 3 (2007), which earned Rs 108 crore.
