Avengers Infinity War box office collection has reached the Rs 94.30 cr mark in its opening weekend and thereby beaten Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 flat to become the 2nd highest opening weekend grosser of 2018. The Bollywood movie had collected a massive Rs 73.10 cr, but in front of this Hollywood Juggernaut, his muscle-bound theatrics met their match. Not just Baaghi 2, the foreign film also pulverised Ajay Devgn starrer Raid, which had collected Rs 41.01 cr, Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man, which had taken in Rs 40.05 cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, whcih had collected Rs 26.57 cr, and Varun Dhawan starrer October, which earned Rs 20.25 cr in the first three days since their release. Surely, Bollywood must have heaved a sigh of relief when Avengers Infinity War stopped well short of the movie of the year in the form of deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat, which had bagged a whopping Rs 114 cr. It remains the No. 1 movie of 2018 so far.

The only thing that may stop Avengers Infinity War box office collection cold are Friday releases. There is a superstar in one of them at least in the form of Amitabh Bachchan as well as Rishi Kapoor. The movie is 102 Not Out and Raazi. However, they pose limited competition.
