Avengers: Endgame box office collection day 3: The final chapter of the "Avengers" franchise, Avengers: Endgame is on a dream run at the domestic as well as international box office. The film has broken records globally by raking in $1.2 billion, with $26.7 million of its earnings coming in from India, in its first weekend. The film, which got off to a massive opening on day 1 by minting Rs 53.10 crore, more than any other movie has in India, beating even the biggest Bollywood releases, has now added another Rs 53 crore on day 3, taking the overall collection to over Rs 150 crore within the first weekend.

Film trade analyst and critic Sumit Kadel tweeted on Monday morning that the film has shattered all records by a huge margin. "#AvengersEndgame Sunday- ₹ 53 cr nett. Total- ₹ 158 cr nett. Shattered all records by a HUGE margin," he tweeted. In another tweet, Kadel said that the film could easily go on to earn Rs 400 to Rs 450 crore in India. "Looking at the Saturday trend of #AvengersEndgame ₹ 150-160 cr nett weekend  & ₹ 260-270 cr nett Week-1 Collection on cards. Forget about ₹ 300 cr lifetime, #EndGame is now eying ₹ 400-450 cr nett Lifetime business in India," his other tweet read. 

Avengers: Endgame has once again proved that movigoers in India are willing to spend if they are provided with the right content. The film surpassed the biggest Indian releases till now like Thugs of Hindostan and Baahubali 2 on first day collection. Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Sunday that this proves that charm of watching a film on a big screen will never fade. "The unimaginable craze for #AvengersEndgame only goes to prove, yet again, that the moviegoers are willing to dig into their wallets/purses and shell out exorbitant money for tickets *if* the film is worth it... The charm of watching a film on big screen will never fade," he tweeted.

In another tweet, Adarsh said that Endgame can also challenge the collections of Baahubali 2 in the coming days.

"#Baahubali2 [#Hindi] rewrote the rules of the game exactly 2 years ago [April 2017]... Almost everyone felt that the records attained by the film will remain unchallenged/unsurpassable for a long, long time... But #AvengersEndgame is challenging it right now!" he tweeted. 

Not only is "Avengers: Endgame" a direct sequel to "Avengers: Infinity War", it`s the culmination of the previous 20-plus titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a blockbuster series of films that commenced with "Iron Man" in 2008 and established Kevin Feige`s Marvel Studios as best in show.
