Ashram Flyover: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday inaugurated the Ashram flyover extension. The flyover will ease commute between Delhi and Noida. "Woes of people have ended, those coming from Noida can reach AIIMS (hospital) sooner after Ashram flyover extension opening," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal also criticised the tardy pace of work during previous years, saying 27 flyovers have been built under the rule of his Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi but only 84 flyovers were built in the last 65 years. Kejriwal said 15 more big projects are in the pipeline.

Delhi's Ashram Flyover

1. The government spent Rs 128.25 crore for the extension of the flyover.
 
2. The Ashram flyover will help commuters to avoid traffic. Committers will avoid the busy intersection of Mathura Road and Ring Road, a junction frequented by 350,000 vehicles every day.  

3. The flyover will cut travel time between South Delhi and Noida by 25 minutes.

4. Commuters coming from Sarai Kale Khan are still advised not to use the Ashram flyover and they should plan their journey as usual.
 
5. The flyover is designed to avoid congestion between the Noida and Ashram intersection.

6. Only light vehicles will be allowed on the flyover for now.  

7. Heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks are not allowed on both carriageways of Ashram Flyover till further information.
