An Indian Army helicopter crashed in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday. According to news agency ANI, the crash site is near Singing Village, 25 kilometers away from the Tuting headquarters in the Upper Siang district.

"Site of accident not connected by road, rescue team sent. Further details awaited," Defence PRO, Guwahati, was quoted as saying by the news agency.

The PRO said that Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed at around 10:40 am today.

"The site of the accident is not connected through the road. A rescue team has been rushed and other details are awaited," Jummar Basar, Superintendent of Police Upper Siang, told ANI.

Earlier, seven people - including the pilot - on board a helicopter were killed after the aircraft crashed into a hill. The chopper was ferrying pilgrims from the Kedarnath temple to Guptkashi in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag. The crash happened amid poor visibility.
