APPSC Panchayat Secretary Recruitment 2019: The hall ticket for screening test of Panchayat Secretary recruitment has been released by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on Monday (April 15th), according to the Commission's April 12th notification that the hall ticket will be available for download at psc.ap.gov.in. The APPSC will hold the screening test for the Panchayat Secretary recruitment on April 21st, 2019. Notably, as many as 4.95 lakh candidates have submitted their applications to take part in the screening test.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the notification for the Panchayat Secretary examination on December 21st, 2018, and the process for submission of application was held from December 27th, 2018 to January 7th, 2019 for the recruitment of as many as 1051 vacant positions. The aspirants who submitted their applications should follow the steps given below to download their APPSC Panchayat Secretary hall ticket:

1. Candidates should visit the APPSC official website-psc.ap.gov.in
2. You should click on the home page link, enter your User ID, mobile number and click on ‘Go’
3. You can see the hall ticket being displayed which your should download
4. Candidates should take a print out for future reference

All the candidates are advised to read the details and rules carefully prior to reaching the exam centre. They must remember that it is compulsory for them to carry the hall ticket, otherwise they will not be allowed to participate in the examination.

According to the APPSC notification, all the candidates belonging to Backward Classes, applying for the post of Panchayat Secretary, are advised to verify their creamy layer status in the nominal rolls available with the invigilator and make necessary declaration, if required so.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission came into existence on 1st November, 1956 with the formation of the State. Prior to this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad state. Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States.

AP Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 members, but the later government enhanced the number of members to five in 1981, and in 1983 the commission was further enhanced with Chairman along with 7 members. In 1994, the government again enhanced it to Chairman along with 9 members, and the same formation still exists.
