Amid neutral global markets, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), futures & options (F&O) and positive foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and Sentiment cues, the short-term trend of the Indian stock markets will remain positive on Monday, January 13, 2020. The domestic stock markets on Friday, January 10, 2020, ended the volatile trading session with modest gains. The market sentiment was upbeat amid positive global cues. The BSE Sensex added 147.37 points, or 0.36%, to close at 41,599.72. The Nifty 50 went up by 40.90 points, or 0.33%, to settle at 12,256.80, while Bank Nifty rose slightly by 5 points, or 0.02%, and closed at 32,097.40. Top gainers Coal India (gained 3.28%) and Infosys (gained 1.71%) on Nifty 50 were followed by UltraTech Cement, Maruti, GAIL and Kotak Bank.
