The festive season has kicked off in November month with the big bang of Diwali festival which stays for whole five days. But interestingly, the current month has bacl-to-back occasion lined up, which means, your bank will be shut for a number of days. Now a lot of customers may face difficulty in carrying out any sort of financial transactions either be cash withdrawal or depositing. Hence, if you have a lot financial transactions, then remember that you finish them before holidays arrived. Here's a list on when your banks will be shut.

So, if you have planned to visit your branch for any banking related work, then you must check whether the bank is open or not on that particular day before you set out on the journey.

It needs to be noted that, you will not only have to check holiday date, but also with respect to your state. Not every state will follow the same procedure of bank holidays in India.

November 01 

On this day banks situated in the state of Puducherry, Haryana, Karnataka and Manipur were shut down. 

November 06

Although Diwali began with Dhanteras on November 05, many banks in states such as Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana and Tamil Nadu were shut. 

November 07 

This was the main Diwali day, and banks across the country were shut. 

November 08

Many banks across the country are also shut due to the Diwali festival. 

November 09

On the occasion of Bhai Bij, banks in the states like Meghalaya, UttarPradesh and Gujarat will be shut. 

November 10 and November 11 

However, there is no festival on these days, but banks generally have holiday on second Saturday on every month, and the November 11 comes as Sunday. 

November 14 

On this day, there will be Chhath Puja, hence banks will be shut in states like Bihar, Assam and Uttar Pradesh. 

November 21

On this day, there will be Id-e-Milad celebrated in few parts of India, hence banks in states like Maharashtra, Kerala, National except Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Tripura will be shut. 

November 23

Various states across India will be celebrating the birthday of Guru Nanak, hence banks will be shut. These states are - Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Daman and Diu, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Odisha, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and Punjab. 

November 24 

The banks will be shut in the month of Punjab. 

November 26 

Banks in Karnataka will be shut. 

If you have any urgent banking work, then you must schedule it on the day when the bank is open.
