Keeping in mind the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has issued an advisory, asking tourists and pilgrims going to Amarnath to return. The national airline Air India has heavily reduced the flight fares from Delhi to Srinagar. The fare prices for flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Delhi to Srinagar have been fixed at Rs 6,899. This fare will be applicable till 15 August, according to Air India. Air India has reduced the prices further as earlier flights were priced at Rs 9,500. After the government's advisory, all the airlines have already announced no extra charges in case of cancellations of tickets or changing dates from Srinagar.

Full refund in case of ticket cancellations 

According to information given by Air India, if a passenger cancels his flight from Srinagar before 15th August or changes the date of his journey, he will be given a full refund for his ticket. While no charge will be imposed in case of a change made in travel dates.
 
Private airlines are also participiating

Private airlines Spice Jet, IndiGo and Vistara have also asked to give full refunds to those who cancelled their flight tickets from Srinagar between August 3 and August 9. On changing the date of the journey, no additional fees will be charged from the passengers.
 
Government advises tourists to return

The government had received some information about the expected terrorist attack on Amarnath Yatra. Advisory has been issued by the government and the devotees and tourists have been directed to leave the state. The security forces in the valley have also recovered sniper guns and mines from the Amarnath Yatra route and the recovered weapons were made in Pakistan as per the government.
