In a relief to the stranded India citizens, Air India will be operating flights on February 26 as special government charter flights to fly back the stranded Indian citizens.

On Friday, Air India tweeted this message from its official Twitter handle. " Air India will be operating flights on B787 aircraft from Delhi and Mumbai to Bucharest (Romania) and Budapest (Hungary) on 26th Feb as special Govt Charter flights to fly back stranded Indian citizens," the Air India notification said. 

 

The notification further added, "Air India has always been playing a pivotal role, standing by the Nation during any crisis and now, inspired by the common mission shared by the Tata group and AI of serving the Nation & its People first - our employees are only too eager to respond to the call of our Nation, driven by our values & conviction that 'if we don't do it then who will?"

Due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, Indian embassy in Ukraine asks Indians not to move to any border posts without prior coordination with its officials., as per a PTI report. 

The Indian embassy in Ukraine has also informed that they are working with the missions in neighbouring countries for evacuation of Indians.

The embassy has instructed to those in eastern sector requested to continue to remain in their places of residence until further instruction.
