AFCAT 2019: Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a notification DAVP10801/11/0003/1920 for IAF AFCAT 2019 exam.  Air Force Common Admission Online Test- AFCAT 2019 course notification is for aspiring candidates which are commencing from July 2020. The interested candidates can apply until June 30, 2019, and are expected to apply in the prescribed format before the last date for online application submission.

The candidates will be selected for Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. The candidates must go through the official notification before applying for IAF AFCAT 2019. The applicants have to make sure that they have all the requisite educational qualifications and fulfil all other eligibility criteria.

AFCAT has notified a total number of 338 vacancies, out of which 60 Posts are for Flying- 208/20F/SSC/M & W Course, for Ground Duty (Technical) (207/20T/PC/M 207/20T/SSC/M & W) there are PC -28 Posts and SSC -42 Posts, For Ground Duty (Non-Technical) -207/20G/PC/M-Admin department there are PC -16 and SSC -24 vacancies, For 207/20G/SSC/M & W-Education PC -06 Posts and SSC -10 Posts. For Meteorology 207/20G/PC/M and 207/20G/SSC/M & W: Met - PC -10 Posts and SSC -14 Posts available. 

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for AFCAT Exam 2019 are expected to have a graduation degree of three years in any discipline from a recognised university. 

It is also expected that the candidates should have at least 60% marks or equivalent with Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or BE/B Tech degree (Four-year course) can also apply for same.

Candidates cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with at least 60% marks or equivalent are also eligible for applying for AFCAT. The candidates should refer to the official notification for further details.

Age limit
Flying  Branch: The age limit set for the candidates is between 20 years and 24  years as on July 1,  2020.

However, the age limit for candidates with valid Commercial Pilot Licence by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to years 26.

For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches the age limit set is between 20 years and 26 years as on July 1, 2020.

Pay scale:
Flying Officer: Rs. 56100 -110700 Level-10, MSP-Rs. 15500 under 7th CPC.
