AFCAT 2019: Indian Air Force has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Commissioned Officers in flying and ground duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2019. AFCAT exam online examination will be conducted on Feb 16 and Feb 17 of 2019.

The online application process for AFCAT 2019 commenced from today (December 1, 2018)and will continue December 30, 2018. 

The candidates who will be selected through AFCAT 2019 will be able to enroll for courses for grant of short service commission (SSC) in flying branch and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches.

Educational Qualifications.
Flying Branch: 

The candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60 percent marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
(a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from any recognised university with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent.
OR
(b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent.
OR
(c) The candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from any recognised University with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 
Candidates with a minimum of 60 percent marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a
minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognised university.

Age limit:
For Flying Branch, the candidates should be between 20 years and 24 years of age.
For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-technical) branches, the candidates should be between 20 years and 26 years of age.

Physical fitness:
The candidates have to complete 1.6km run in 9 minute, 100 meter run in 16 second. Besides these, the candidates also have to do 20 push-ups and sit-ups in 1 minute. Tyhey should be able to do 3 chin-ups and swim 25 meter.

Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of various tests including written test.
