7th Pay Commission: Why govt employees will have something to cheer about on June 11
The implementation of the 7th Pay Commission will boost the pay of lacks of government employees who have been kept waiting.
A meeting will be held on June 11 to give final shape to the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The meeting will be held by the group of secretaries headed by Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha, according to a Zee News report.
The meeting will put final touches on the report which will determine the remuneration of government employees. The implementation of the 7th Pay Commission will boost the pay of lacks of government employees who have been kept waiting.
After this meeting, the implementation of the reports recommendations by the Finance Ministry will take only a few days, according to media reports.
The group of secretaries have recommended a higher limit hike of Rs 2,70,000 and lower limit hike of Rs 21,000. This is Rs 20,000 more than the higher limit and Rs 3,000 more than the lower limit prescribed by the 7th Pay Commission.
Earlier, the government had set up the panel of secretaries to process the recommendations of the report which will revise the renumeration of 47 lakh central government employees and 52 lakh pensioners.
