7th Pay Commission latest news today: Almost everybody wants government jobs and now, these have become even more alluring after Centre cleared the implementation of the 7th CPC report recommendations. The other big reasons are that the responsibilities are well divided and no one needs to work extra hours. Add to that the fat pay package as well as many allowances and it is clear why youths covet these jobs.

Now, new jobs have been notified and the salaries will be paid according to 7th pay commission report. Read on to know all the details:
National Institute of fashion technology has invited applicants for the post of Assistant professors on direct recruitment. National Institute of fashion technology is a statutory body under the ministry of textiles. This recruitment is on contract basis for 5 years.

NIFT has notified a total number of 179 vacancies out of which 74 seats are vacant for an unreserved candidate, 26 posts are for scheduled caste, 13 seats for scheduled tribes, 49 seats for OBC and 17 seats for EWS category candidates. Interested candidates are requested to apply in a prescribed format available on the official website on or before 6th September. Eligible candidates can apply for the Assistant professors post through the official website ie. www.nift.ac.in. Candidates are also suggested to upload the copies of relevant certificates and testimonials in support of age, qualification, caste and experience etc.

7th Pay Commission Pay scale:
The selected candidates for the Assistant professor's post will be offered the pay matrix as per 7th Pay Commission with Level- 10

Eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for the post are expected to have a post-graduate programme with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant areas as per annexure-1 from the institutes of national/ international repute with 3 years experience in teaching or research at university on national or international level institutions in the relevant industry.

Or the candidates should have a doctoral degree in any of the competencies as mentioned in Anexure-1 with 1-year experience in a levant industry or teaching or research at university on national or international level institutions in the relevant industry.

Age limit
The age limit set for the Assistant professors post is 40 years. Also age relaxation is given to SC/SCT/OBC candidates, up to 05 years for SC/SCT and 03 years for OBC category candidates as per government of India orders.

Application Fees:
The candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 as application fees through an online payment.
For SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates and employees of NIFT are exempted from the payment of application fees.

Selection Process:
Candidates are selected on the basis of written test, presentation and Interview.
