7th Pay Commission Latest News: Forest Survey of India (FSI)  is inviting applications for various positions. The applications have been invited in the prescribed format for filling the positions of stenographer, Superintendent, General Central Service. The total number of posts advertised for all the categories are 13.

Note: Educational qualification is not applicable for these posts.

The last date to submit the application form is 60 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

Five posts have been announced for the post of stenographer, Grade-I while 8 vacancies have been announced for Supritendent, Genral Central Service, Group 'B', Non-Gazetted, Ministerial in Level-6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs 35400-112400) of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The positions have been announced for Forest Survey of India headquarter in Dehradun and its regional offices.

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.

FSI is an organisation under the Ministry of Environment,Forests & Climate Change, Government of India. Its principal mandate is to conduct survey and assessment of forest resources in the country. ​

It started as an organization called Pre- Investment Survey of Forest Resources (PISFR) in 1965 as FAO/UNDP/GOI Project. The changing information needs resulted in enlarging the scope of activities of PISFR and it was re- organized as Forest Survey of India in 1981.
