7th Pay Commission Latest News: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for admission of candidates to Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) and has released a notification – UPSC CDS 2 2020 Notification with regards to this. In all 344, vacancies have been advertised under this recruitment drive. All positions offer an attractive pay scale as per the 7th Pay Commission (CPC) guidelines.

Allowances: 

  1. Note that during the period of training the services will not be treated as commissioned services so their allowances will be paid with arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable, for the training period. 
  2. Flying allowance:- The Army Aviators (Pilots) serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowing as under: Lieutenant and above Level 10 and above Rs 25,000/- p.m. fixed (R1H1 of Risk and Hardship Matrix).

3. Dearness Allowance - Same rates and under the same condition as are applicable to the civilian personnel from time to time.  
4. There are other allowances like Dress allowance, High altitude allowance, Siachen allowance.
