7th Pay Commission Latest News: For the past several days, there were reports in media that the Central Government is going to change the age of retirement of its employees. The rumours spreading on this whole issue have been rejected by the Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur in the Lok Sabha.

As per media reports, the government is considering retiring such central employees who have completed 33 years of job or they have turned 60 years old. But after this statement of the government, the central employees will definitely get some relief.

It was said in the reports that from 1 April 2020, the government can change the retirement age.

At present, the age of retirement of central employees is 60 years while the age of doctor and university professor is 65 years. It was said in the reports that this arrangement will open the way for the promotion and new recruitment of central employees.

On the other hand, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said on this matter that the government has no plans to reduce the retirement age of the employees. Also, he said But the government has the right that it can free the officers from the post ahead of time.
