Earthquake in Assam: An earthquake measuring 3.7 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted parts of Assam on Monday afternoon, April 17. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the quake occurred at 4:52 pm. There is no report of any casualty or damage to property so far.

The epicentre was in Kamrup district and it lay at a depth of 10 km, it added. The tremor was felt in different parts of the state, including in the largest city, Guwahati.
