Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is set for its worldwide release on November 29. The film is expected to get released on over 10,000 screens across the globe - over 5,000 screens in India alone. As per film trade analyst Akshaye Rathi, the film's box office collection may stand at a whopping Rs 70 crore in India on day 1 - worldwide total is seen at a whopping Rs 100 cr. This itself will not only create many records but will break many new ones as well.

This Rajinikanth film is now all set to break yet another record. The film will be released in 140 cinemas in Malaysia breaking the record of Rajinikanth's own movie, Kabali. Kabali was released on 130 screens in the country, said film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

"#2Point0 To release in 140 Cinemas in #Malaysia.. Huge number..," said Bala in a tweet sharing the list of all the theatres.

Bala has earlier said that the film has witnessed a 'phenomenal advance booking' in Mumbai where counter booking was opened.

"Phenomenal advance booking for #2Point0 in #Mumbai single screens where counter booking is opened..," he said.

Touted as the costliest ever Indian film, 2.0 is made on a whopping budget of over Rs 600 crore. As per reports, the movie has already collected around Rs 370 crore through sale of its advance tickets and digital rights.

The film is also expected to create a record of highest-ever day 1 grosser for Akshay Kumar. 2.0 is the first Indian film entirely shot in 3D. Also, it is the first time that Akshay Kumar is playing a villain's role of this kind.
