Sensex ends over 110 points; FMCG top gainer on D-Street

  • Market continues to rally

  • Maruti Suzuki was below 20 points at Rs. 4,168.50. The company has reported nearly 14% decline in total sales for the June month. The company's total sales during the month dropped 13.9% to 98,840 units as against 114,756 units in June 2015, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday. The stock opened at Rs. 4,194.35 above its previous closing of Rs. 4,185.15. Total traded quantity stood at 0.54 lakh shares against two weeks average quantity of 0.65 lakh shares. 

  • The local currency ended unchanged at 67.89. However in the trading session it has appreciated by 0.16%. 

  • NSE Nifty stood at 8,127.85 up 33.15 with 29 advances, 21 declines and 1 remaining unchanged. Lupin was among the top gainer at Rs. 1,542.50 up 4.28%. 

  • BSE Sensex ended 121 points up at 26,524.55 on Wednesday trading session. FMCG Sector was among the top-gainer by surging over 144 points at 8,390.06. The index was positve with 19 advances and 11 declines. Total turnover stood at Rs. 341.46 crore with volume of 6,633,484.

  • Bajaj Finserv is trading above 13 points at Rs. 2,191.05. The company is likely to buy out the stake of its joint venture partner Allianz SE in its insurance businesses. The stock was trading by 5% on previous trading session and also opened at Rs. 2,202.10 above its earlier closed of Rs. 2,177.85. It has touched a high and low of Rs. 2,242.60 and Rs. 2,190 respectively. 

  • Lupin and HUL rallies on Sensex. Lupin was trading at Rs. 1,538.75 spurting by over 60 points or 4.08%. While Hindustan Unilevers share soared 30 points or 3.28% at Rs. 888. 

  • Corporate Announcements

  • European markets are in green today. The DAX is up 2.32% at 9,484.14 while the FTSE 100 gains 2.13% at 6,109.53. The CAC 40 surged 2.14% at 4,070.10.

  • Markets range bounds, FMCG and Infra stocks up 

  • European market opens positive for the first time after brexit. 

  • Tata Communications soared 20 points or 4.38% at Rs. 469.30. The company announced to sell equity stakes in its South African telecom unit Neotel to Liquid Telecom. 

  • NSE Nifty was trading at 8,109.25 up 15 points or just 0.19%. Idea Cellular was among the top gainer at Rs. 103.85 up 3.49%. 

  • At 12.26 pm, Sensex moving slowly by trading at 26,452.58 up 50 points. The market mover IT stocks were in red at 11027.26. 

  • Nifty Bank was trading unchanged from its previous closing at 17,516.10. The index opened below at 17,497. 

  • Brexit Aftermath continues on Global market. 

  • Global equities took another step down in Asia on Tuesday, with regional markets sliding near three-decade lows as Britain's shock vote to exit the European Union (EU) continued to roil financial markets.

  • Indian rupee was trading up by 0.110 points or 0.16%. The local currency opened at 67.89. 

  • Oil prices rise on looming Norway strike, but Brexit still weighs.

  • NSE Nifty opened unchanged at 8,096.05. The index was positve with 27 advances and 24 declines. 

  • There was not much excitement in the Indian market on Tuesdays trading session. Sensex opened in lackluster at 26.410.66. Overall the index was positve with 15 advances, 5 declines, 4 remaining unchanged and 6 not traded.
