Monsoon tracker: Non-essential govt offices, school, colleges to remain closed in Delhi till Sunday

The India Met Department (IMD) has warned about moderate flash flood risk in several parts of India today July 13. There is a high likelihood of moderate flash floods in Uttarakhand, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, extreme northeast Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, northeastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and southern parts of Konkan & Goa.

IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Bihar during the next 2 days and isolated heavy rainfall thereafter. Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Odisha on the 11, 14 & 15; Jharkhand on July 13 and 14.

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a rapid increase in the Yamuna's water level over the past three days. It shot up from 203.14 metres at 11 am on Sunday to 205.4 metres at 5 pm on Monday, breaching the danger mark.
