Sun Pharma surged by 10 points or 1.27% to Rs. 818 on reports that RPG Life Sciences inked a pact to acquire seven prescription brands from from the company for a consideration of Rs 41 crore.
On Thursday, domestic markets opened higher despite of weak asian markets. The sensex was trading above 88 points or 0.31% to 28,112.43, while nifty was at 8,634.45 up by 19 points or 0.22%. The investors hold their position in these exchange, as the 30-stock index was positive with 25 advances and 5 declines, while 50-stock index with 37 advances, 13 declines and 1 remaining unchanged.
The rupee was trading above 0.011 paise or 0.02% to 67.084 against US dollars.
Asian markets are lower today as Chinese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Shanghai Composite is off 0.16% while the Hang Seng is down 0.23%. The Nikkei 225 is below 0.69%.
