WBJEE Exam 2021 latest news: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the revised WBJEE 2021 exam date. The exam has been pushed by 6 days.

Now, the new exam date for WBJEE is July 17, 2021. Earlier it was expected to be held on July 11, 2021.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board issued a notice today mentioning that "In view of the COVID-19 second wave pandemic situation and continued restrictions, the date of WBJEE-2021 has been rescheduled keeping in mind the health and academic interest of the aspiring candidates." 

It also mentioned that "The examination will be held on July 17, 2021 (Saturday)." 

The Board has also informed that the revised timetable for publication of admit card etc. has been published. All and other aspects of the examination will remain unchanged. 

The announcement for deferring the WBJEE 2021 exam date was made on its official website wbjeeb.nic.in. 

For 2021–2022 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.  

Pattern of Question Papers in WBJEE-2021 

The examination will be in offline mode (OMR based examination). Candidates are required to appear for two papers in WBJEE-2021. 

1. Paper-I – Mathematics 

2. Paper-II - Physics & Chemistry (combined). 

All questions will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ), with four options against each of the questions. There will be three categories of questions in each of the subjects.  

Ranking Methodology 

WBJEEB will prepare merit ranks based on the candidates’ score in the entrance test. Individual candidates will be able to view and download his/her Rank Card, which will contain score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any rank/score list for public. Based on the papers (subjects) appeared in the WBJEE-2021 followed by marks scored there-of two separate Merit Ranks shall be generated by the Board.
