As per the latest media reports, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) at Tamil Nadu Government may announce the TN SSLC Class 10th Result 2020 this week. However, the Tamil Nadu Board is yet to make any official statement in this regard.

Where to check Tamil Nadu Class 10th Board Result 2020 online

After the declaration of Tamil Nadu Class 10th Board Result 2020, around 9.7 lakh students who appeared in the Class 10th Exam can check their results online by simply logging in at dge.tn.gov.in. They can also check their TN SSLC Class 10th Board Result 2020 online by logging in at other websites —  tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.nic.in.

Last year, Tamil Nadu Class 10th Board Results were declared on 29th April but due to the Coronavirus spread, this year results have been delayed due to problem in evaluation post-exams. The exams were earlier set to commence from June 1, and were rescheduled to be held from June 15-25. But, after the Madras High Court’s order to halt all examinations, Tamil Nadu Chief minister E Palaniswami announced to cancel the Class 11th and Class 10th board exams. He also said that students will be promoted on the basis of quarterly and half-yearly exams and their previous attendance. The Class 10 exams were scheduled to be conducted between 15 and 26 June.

The Tamil Nadu board has coined a new evaluation strategy to promote the students in which 80 per cent marks will be evaluated based on students' performance in quarterly and half-yearly examinations. The remaining 20 per cent will be based on attendance.

Those students who appeared in Tamil Nadu Class 10th Board exam 2020 can check their results online. for that they will have to log in at the above-mentioned websites and follow some simple steps. Here is the step by step guide:
