JEE Advanced date, eligibility criteria: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has made big announcement regarding admissions into IITs and much awaited date of Jee-Advanced. Education Minister said that he will be making announcement about the eligibility criteria for admission into IITs & the date of JEE Advanced on January 7.

Taking to twitter on Monday, he wrote, “ My dear students, I will announce the eligibility criteria for admission in #IITs & the date of #JEE Advanced on 7th Jan at 6 PM. Stay tuned!”

Earlier, Ramesh Pokhriyal on Thursday (December 31) had announced on Twitter that CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2021 will be held in May-June and the delay has been caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pokhriyal announced that the exams will be held between May 4 and June 10 and results will be announced in July but the Central Board of Secondary Education is yet to issue the exact date sheet or timetable for Class 10, 12 Board Exams.

While the announcement of dates by Minister Pokhriyal has ended the speculations over the dates for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board exams the students will still have to wait a little to start subject-wise preparation based on the datesheet.

For his part, Pokhriyal had said that the datesheet for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 would be released soon and the government’s fact-check branch PIB on Saturday (January 2) posted a tweet reiterating the same. In the tweet, PIB has also also shared a datesheet drafted on the same lines as the dates issued but the PIB asserted that the datesheet which has ow gone viral on social media is fake.

Earlier, the CBSE had also asked students and parents to only refer to the official website of CBSE - cbse.nic.in, for information regarding the dates or the board examinations.
