Winter Vacation: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, keeping in mind the children, the Education Department has ordered a winter vacation in many states for schools.

Schools in Delhi NCR have been declared a 15-day holiday due to the freezing cold. While, winter holidays have been announced in many states including Haryana, UP, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Uttar Pradesh school winter vacation

In Uttar Pradesh, schools up to class 8 have been closed in many districts due to the cold. School timings have been changed from 9th to 12th.  

Bihar school winter vacation

Bihar schools up to class 8 have been closed till December 31. The Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that there will be dense fog as well as severe cold for the next few days.  

Delhi - NCR winter vacation

According to the circular issued by the Directorate of Education for winter vacation, all schools in Delhi will be closed from January 1 to January 15. All government schools under the Directorate of Education in Delhi NCR have been declared a holiday for 15 days. Schools from classes 1 to 8 will remain closed. At the same time, remedial classes will be organized to ensure that the education of children of 9th to 12th is not affected. Holiday

Haryana school winter vacation

The Haryana government has extended the winter vacation in all private and government schools till January 21, 2023. The classes will resume on January 23, 2023.

Punjab school winter vacation

Punjab school will remain closed till January 1, 2023. This order of the government will be applicable to all schools.

Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh school winter vacation

In Madhya Pradesh, the lockdown has been ordered from December 25 to December 31 and in Chhattisgarh from December 28.
