Rajasthan Schools and Colleges Closed: The present COVID-19 situation in the country has compelled the states to resort to the strictest measures to curb the spread of the disease. Several states and union territories have reinforced night curfews and even imposed lockdowns to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection. The government of Rajasthan has imposed a 15-day lockdown in the state to control the spread of the pandemic across the state.

As per a report by India Today, all the educational institutions including schools and colleges have been closed for 15 days till May 3, 2021. 

Yesterday, the Delhi government has also decided to impose a one-week lockdown in the national capital to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease. The curfew has started in the national capital from yesterday 10 PM and will continue till April 26, 2021, until 5 AM. Several other states like Tamil Nadu have imposed night curfew from 10 PM to 4 PM and complete lockdowns on Sundays have been enforced.

Coming back to Rajasthan, In the span of the 15-day lockdown in the state which is being called 'Jan Anushasan Pakhwada', only shops and offices providing essentials services have been permitted to remain open. The state government will review the situation of the state after the lockdown to resume normalcy.

Apart from closing down the schools and other educational institutions till May 3, 2021, the Rajasthan government has also postponed the class 10 class 12 board exams. Earlier, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has decided to promote the students of classes 6 and 7 in the state without any exams.

As of now, no revised dates for the RBSE class 10 class 12 board exams have been announced. However, after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the state, the revised schedule for the class 10 class 12 board exams will be notified later.
