After CBSE class 12 exams, now Rajasthan class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 have been cancelled. RBSE class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 cancellation was announced by Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra at a press conference on late Wednesday evening. The decision was takein keeping safety of students in the wake of Covid 19 pandemic and likely 3rd wave. This comes after CBSE 12th Board exams were cancelled after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday.

Dotasra  said the decision was taken in a meeting of Council of Ministers, which decided to cancel RBSE Class 10th and 12th exams in the interest of students. 

"Rajasthan government cancels class 10th and class 12th state board exams. Officers of the education department will soon derive a formula for marks to be given to students of Class 10 and Class 12 of the state board. The next academic session will begin on June 7: Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara (02.06)," tweeted news agency ANI. 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had also announced mass promotion without exams classes 1 to 6 as well as for classes 8, 9 and 11. At the school level, only class 10 and 12 students are left without a final decision. 

Earlier, while cancelling CBSE class 12 exams, Modi had asserted that the decision to cancel the exams has been taken in the interest of students and the anxiety among students, parents and teachers must be put to an end. Soon after, CISCE and the Haryana government also announced cancellation of their respective board exams. Some other states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, called off their board exams on Wednesday.
