As per the notification issued on March 12, 2021 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET UG 2021 is supposed to take place on August 1, 2021. However, since then there has been no official announcement on the same. In addition to that, the JEE Main 2021 April and May sessions which were postponed due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country, are also awaited by the students. The candidates willing to appear for the NEET UG 2021 and JEE Main 2021 Exams must keep an eye on the official NTA website at nta.nic.in for any updates on the same.

As per a Times Now report NTA is likely to announce the new schedule for the April and May sessions of JEE Main 2021 only by end of the month. The report further stated that the NTA officials refused to comment on the tentative dates or schedule for the April and May exams. However, it was indicated that both April and May sessions would be conducted and between a gap of 20 to 25 days.

One thing has to be noted that last year also amid the pandemic, the JEE Mains and NEET UG Exams were held following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Last year, initially, the NEET UG Exam was supposed to be held on May 3, 2021 which was postponed to July 26, 2020. Finally, the exam was held on September 13,2021.

This year with the announcement notification of NEET UG 2021, it was stated that the exam will be held in pen and paper mode on August 1, 2021. It was also mentioned that information bulletin will be released soon and the online application process will commence shortly. However, nothing as started yet. The second wave of the pandemic can be a reason behind the delay in the application process for NEET UG 2021. Nevertheless, it is expected that an announcement regarding the NEET UG 2021 will be made soon.

The candidates willing to appear for the competitive exams must keep an eye on the official NTA website at nta.nic.in for any updates.
