This meeting was conducted on April 8, 2021 as per a report by ANI. As per a statement, the Department of School Education and Literacy developed SARTHAQ and it indicates an implementation plan for school education. Recently, the education department has been taking certain initiatives for the betterment of the education condition in the country. In order to usher in a change in the sphere of school education, both the students and the teachers will have to take the initiative. Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has signed a a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in order to train and enhance the skills of teachers and students of the CBSE affiliated schools.

In order to make the curriculum exciting and interesting for the students, the CBSE has recently launched more than 100 comic books created by teachers of CBSE affiliated schools and curated by NCERT. The CBSE has also introduced the competency-based assessment framework. This framework aims at strengthening India’s existing school education system for secondary level, that is, from classes 6 to10 and improve the overall learning outcomes of students across the country, mainly covering three subjects - English, Science and Maths.

Coming back to SARTHAQ, around 7177 suggestions and inputs have been received from the stakeholders of SARTHAQ regarding its proper implementation. The major focus of SARTHAQ is to define activities in such a way that it links recommendation with 297 tasks along with responsible agencies, timelines and 304 outputs of these tasks. SARTHAQ has been planned to be implemented in a phased manner.

Last year, from September 8 to 25, a teachers' fest 'ShikshaParv' was organised to discuss various recommendations of NEP 2020 and its implementation. The event attracted around 15 lakh suggestions.
