Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021 Latest News Today: Due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state, the Karnataka government has decided to postpone the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (SSLC) for Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students. The Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar has informed about this decision.

The Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister has informed about the postponement of SSLC Class 10 Board Exam 2021 on Thursday as per ANI. S Suresh Kumar said, "The increasing COVID cases in the state coupled with the concerns of parents-students and many school associations has resulted in this decision. A suitable call will be taken after the second wave of COVID-19 dies down."

The Karnataka SSLC Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was scheduled to begin from June 21, 2021. The state education minister has assured that the revised date will be announced much ahead of its schedule.

Several state boards have either cancelled or postponed their board exams. Last month, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had also taken a similar decision last month. The CBSE recently had announced the evaluation criteria based on which the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results will be prepared. The board had also notified that it will take a decision on the revised schedule for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021.

Coming back to the Karnataka SSLC Class 10 Board Exam 2021, the education minister of the state had advised the candidates to continue with their preparations. As per official data, the state had recorded 4730 new COVID-19 cases on May 13, 2021, over the last 24 hours.
