A PTI report stated that the Education Ministry is contemplating to conduct the April and May sessions of JEE Main 2021 Exams in the months of July and August. Furthermore, NEET UG 2021 Exam can be shifted to September. PTI quoted a source as saying, "The pending editions of JEE-Mains are likely to be conducted either at the end of July or August with a fortnight's gap between the two tests. NEET is likely to be pushed to September."

In this context, it has to be noted that when the NEET UG 2021 Exam announcement was made on March 12, 2021, it was notified that the NEET UG 2021 Exam will take place on August 1, 2021. The PTI report also informed that the registration process for the exam was supposed to start from May 1, 2021. However, that has also been delayed and the registration process has not yet commenced.

The JEE Main 2021 Exam was scheduled to take place in four sessions this year. So far, the February and the March sessions have been conducted and the results have been declared.

Due to the rise in the number of cases because of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the April and May sessions of the JEE Main 2021 Exam were postponed. Due to the pandemic situation the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021.

Now, with the cancellation of the board exams, the competitive exams have become all the more important for the students. It is expected that soon an official announcement on the NEET UG 2021 Exam and the pending sessions of the JEE Main 2021 Exams will be made.

In the meantime, the interested candidates must keep an eye on the official NTA website at nta.nic.in.
