UP Board Exams 2021 Fake Date sheet, which has the names of the subjects along with the dates, claimed that the UP Board Exam 2021 would begin from June 5, 2021 and would end on June 25, 2021 as per an india.com report. Shukla in a statement said, "It is informed that the high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examinations date sheet of the year 2021 was being circulated on WhatsApp dated 17-5-2021 which says that examinations will be held from 05 June 2021 to 25 June 2021. This timetable is absolutely fake. FIR will be registered against those who have circulated this fake news."

Notably, the UP Board Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 were scheduled to take place in the month of April. However, earlier last month, the board exams were postponed as they were coinciding with UP panchayat poll dates. Later, the UP Board Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was supposed to start from May 8, 2021 and continue till May 25, 2021. Again, the UPMSP Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was supposed to start from May 8, 2021 and continue till May 28, 2021. But due to the COVID-19 scenario, the UP Board Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 were postponed again till May 20, 2021.

There also have been demands from the students for the cancellation of the board exams because of the adverse COVID-19 situation in the country as well as in Uttar Pradesh. However, unlike, the CBSE schools, most of the schools in Uttar Pradesh do not conduct any kind of weekly, monthly exams and as a result, it will be difficult to evaluate the UP Board Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students without conducting the exams. It must be noted that a total of 56,03,813 candidates have registered for the UPMSP Classes 10 and 12 board exams. Out of the total registrations, as many as 29,94,312 students have applied for Class 12 exams and 26,09,501 for Class 10 UPMSP exams.
