"Physical classes are way better than online classes. All of my friends were waiting for this day," says a class 12 student."

Zee Business reporter Daanish Anand reported the SOPs issued by DDMA to be followed by the schools and other educational institutions, to be followed, after they are reopened.

It must be noted that according to the classroom capacity, only 50 per cent of the students can be called.

The schools should set timetables according to classroom occupancy limousine. Furthermore, the lunch breaks should be staggered and must take place in open areas to avoid crowding.

An ANI report stated that Nishant Sharma, Academic Head of Vidya Bal Bhawan said, "Our school has set up Covid isolation room with oxygen concentrators and medical team for students. For emergency cases, the school has also tied up with nearby hospitals so that the students can get proper treatment on time."

Sharma further added that regular temperature check of the students will be done even before dropping them to their homes via school transportation.

It has to be noted that the colleges, universities and coaching centres along with the schools in Delhi were allowed to reopen in a phased manner from September 1, 2021, according to a recent order issued by DDMA.

The schools in Delhi were closed in the month of March 2020 ahead of a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus.

However, the Delhi government had allowed physical classes for the students of Classes 9 to 12 in February 2021 seeing the decline in daily Covid 19 cases in the country. But had to again suspended the classes following the second wave of the pandemic.
