Delhi Schools Reopen Date: The schools will reopen in National Capital Delhi from this month itself. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given his consent for reopening of schools for the students of class 10 and class 12 for the time being. According to a circular released on Wednesday, the government and private schools may call the students of class 10 and 12 from 18 January.

However, there is a catch involved. This would require permission from the parents! Delhi government has also prescribed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which every school is required to follow. Delhi schools will also have to maintain a record of the students who are coming to schools. This will not be used to record the attendance.

According to the SOP, no student, teacher or staff who is infected with the Coronavirus infection will be allowed to enter into the school premises. Thermal screening will be mandatory on the entry gates. The schools will have to provide sanitisers at all the places on the premises including entry gate, classroom, labs and places of public utilities. Only those Delhi schools will be opened which are outside the containment zone. The students residing the containment zones will not be allowed to enter into the schools.
 
Delhi schools will have to make arrangements in the classes and labs in a manner that does not violate SOPs. The staff will also be called on the basis of timetable.

As per the CBSE circular, practical, projects and internal assessment will be held from 1 March 2021 till the end of the exams. The schools have been advised to complete the assessment process before the commencement of the exams.

Preboard Exams likely to be conducted between 20 March and 15 April. The assessment for internal grades should also be completed before the commencement of the board exams.
