Delhi Nursery Admission 2022-23 News: The Delhi government on Monday announced the process for admission to entry level classes- Nursery, Kindergarten, Class 1 for 2023-24 academic year starting from December 1. The last date for submitting the application is 23 December.

The first list of shortlisted students will be released on 20 January 2023. The second list along with the waiting list will be announced on 6 February 2023. The admission process will end on 17 March 2023.

According to the circular released by the Directorate of Education (DoE), "The admission process for pre-school, pre-primary and class 1 will commence from December 1 for open seats in private unaided recognised schools of Delhi for the session 2023-24."

The notification further reads, "The first list of children who will be selected for admission along with the waiting list, will be out on January 20, while the second list for the same will be uploaded on February 6."

The release stated that the Delhi entry level private unaided recognised schools will have to upload the admission criteria by 28 November, 2022. The information of all entry level classes and the seat availability will be notified by 16 December by all Delhi schools.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2022-23:  Documents Required

Following are the documents required for admission:

Residence proof
Income proof
Cast certificate
Date of birth certificate
Aadhar card

The private Delhi schools are ordered to reserve 25 percent seats for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) students and children with disabilities as per the release.

Schools have been asked to notify the number of seats available and the admission requirements by 16 December.

In the admission schedule, Delhi government has set 8 to 14 Feb 2023 as the dates for resolution of parents' queries regarding the allotment of points to their wards in the second list.

Additionally, according to a directive from the Department of Education (DoE), the number of seats in entry-level classes must not be less than the total number of seats in entry-level classes over the previous three academic years (2020–21, 2021–22, and 2022–23).
