Will CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 follow Class 10 assessment criteria?  

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) might follow the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 assessment plan for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 as well as per a report by india.com. A CBSE official said to a leading portal, "It’s too early to say, but if the situation worsens, the CBSE may follow the assessment plan of class 10." The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students have taken on social media to urge the Union Ministry of Education to cancel Class 12 Board examinations due to the COVID-19 situation in the country. The students had also started a campaign with the hashtag #cancel12thboardexams2021 which was trending on Twitter on May 1, 2021.

While speaking to India TV, the CBSE official further said, "We cannot further delay conducting the exam after July as the entire exam process takes more than a month including evaluation of copies and result declaration."

Final decision on CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021

Several media reports claim that the CBSE may conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 after July due to the current pandemic situation in the country. Last month the CBSE had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. The board further stated that the decision regarding the revised dates for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken on June 1, 2021. Moreover, it also assured the students that they will be informed about the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 at least 15 days prior to the commencement of the exam.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 evaluation criteria

Recently, the CBSE has also announced the evaluation criteria for the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be assessed out of maximum 100 marks for each subject. As per the policy of the board, 20 marks will be allotted to internal assessment and 80 marks for year-end board exams. As per the CBSE notification, the CBSE-affiliated schools will assess the 80 marks of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students in the following ways:

a) based on the marks scored by the candidate in different tests/exams conducted by the school in the course of the year

b) the marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 10 Board exams
