Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to take final call on Class 12th Board examination, while there are reports of teachers and schools raising objection to the evaluation criteria proposed by CBSE for class 10th students.

Meanwhile, in a big development that could push result of CBSE Class 10 exams further, the Board has deferred marks submission deadline, keeping prevailing Covid 19 situation in mind.   

"CBSE accords highest priority to the safety and health of the teachers. The instructions given for tabulation of Class X Marks in the earlier notification do mention that the Result Commitee can make its own schedule based on the scheme provided by the CBSE. Keeping in view, the situation of pandemic, lockdown in states safety of teachers and other staff members of the affiliated schools, the CBSE has decided to extend dates, " said CBSE in a statement on Tuesday, May 18.
 
CBSE Class 10 revised dates: 

Availability of portal by CBSE for uploading of marks: 20th May, 2021 (No change) 

Submission of marks to CBSE: 30th June, 2021

Submission of internal assessment marks (out of 20): 30th June 2021 

Earlier, there were speculations that the Ministry of Education may take a call on CBSE Class 12 exam 2021 in consultation with state education secretaries on May 17. However, it turned out that there were no such decision taken in the meeting. However, as per media reports deciosn on cancellation of Class 12th Board exam 2021 or extension of exam dates would be taken in teh last week of May.
