The Directorate of Education had written a letter to Dr Bhardwaj seeking an extension of the deadline for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 result. The Delhi government said, "Keeping in view the current situation and its emotional implications, the ongoing lockdown, and engagement of teachers in various Covid-19 duties, the authorities of CBSE is requested to review the schedule on the tabulation policy for class 10 result. Other staff including the data entry and IT assistants of Delhi government are also engaged in Covid-19 duties." Last month, the CBSE had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country. The CBSE recently has also announced the marking scheme for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students.

For this evaluation process, the CBSE has also instructed to form a result committee consisting of principal and seven teachers for finalizing the results.
