CBSE Exam 2021: Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj (Controller of Exams, CBSE) have put a number of issues to rest. This should go a long way in alleviating the anxiety. They reiterated that the CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2021 won't be cancelled.
Yes, students should know that CBSE Board Exams 2021 will be held for sure. However, no date has been suggested till now. So, those reports that are referring to some dates are wrong.

The Minister also clarified that competitive exams including JEE and NEET 2021 will also be held. That means two things that were troubling students the most, have been explained and they can now study as hard as they can.

However, that also begs the question - when will CBSE Board exams 2021 for class 10 and class 12 be held? Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification and said any decision on CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exam dates will be communicated at the appropriate time.

How will this be done? Well, students will just have to keep an eye on the official CBSE website, which is www.cbse.nic.in. “The board is well aware of the condition of the students and parents in the time of the pandemic and therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken by CBSE that will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time at the official website”, the notification read.

Here is a item by item description of where things stand today as per India.com report.

Practical Exams: When normal classes resume, practical examinations will be conducted in School labs. An external examiner will be deputed for practical examinations.
Alternative Option For Practicals: Considering that these are pandemic affected times, for those students who are not able to go to schools to take their practical exams, an alternative will be found.

CBSE Board exam 2021 Datesheet for Class 10, 12 will be published after consultating the stakeholders. These include students, parents and teachers too.

Exam Gap: The CBSE Board exams will have more than the usual gap days in order to allow students to get enough time to study.
Exam Centres: When CBSE Board exams 2021 are finally held, only 12 students will be seated in an exam room as per coronavirus guidelines.

When will Schools reopen? Since the pandemic is very much a threat and Covid-19 vaccine still to be rolled out, when students will return to school has not been decided. The minister had said, “17 states have reopened their schools with minimal attendance, other states will decide based on the pandemic situation”.
JEE 2021: To make sure no student is affected adversely and everyone is provided a good chance to excel, the minister hinted at increasing number of attempts for JEE Main. he said, “We are considering the suggestions to increase the number of attempts for JEE Main from two to three or four.”
NEET 2021: In a big relief for students and parents, he stated that there is no plan to cancel the medical entrance exam.
