As per a report by The Times of India, a number of CBSE school teachers feel that RT-PCR tests or COVID test must be made mandatory for students before restarting Class 12 practical exams because it has been suspected that several asymptomatic students may have attended schools. The demand has mainly been raised from Nagpur.

While speaking to The Times of India, Deepali Dably, president of CBSE Staff Welfare Association mentioned that a letter demanding mandatory RT-PCR tests will be given to both the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and the district collectorate. The virus is spreading at a rapid speed which can affect both the teachers and the students. To ensure the safety of the students and the teachers, RT-PCR tests are absolutely necessary.
