The CBSE written exams for class 10 and class 12 board exam candidates are scheduled to commence from May 4, 2021. The practical exams for CBSE class 12 board exam candidates have already started from have already started from March 1, 2021 and will continue till June 11, 2021.
Some schools had requested to CBSE to conduct the practical exams in three shifts instead of two as this will help in conducting the practical exams for the CBSE class 12 board exam candidates early and at the same time, it will ensure more time to the students to prepare for their CBSE board exams.
The CBSE has permitted the schools to conduct the practical exams for the class 12 board exam students in three shifts.
Keeping in view the recent upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases all over the country, the CBSE has also decided to permit a change in the written/practical examination centre by requested by the student.

The CBSE has decided to take this decision because many students of classes 10, 12, along with their families, have shifted to some other city or country and therefore, they are unable to appear in the practical/ theory exam from the school/ exam centre where the students are registered for the board examinations because of the rising COVID-19 cases in the country.
The CBSE class 10 and class 12 board exam candidates willing to change the exam centre need to request to their respective schools for the process.
For further information and the process to change the exam centres, the CBSE class 10 class 12 board exam candidates must visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
