CBSE Board Exam 2021: The CBSE board exams for class 10 and class 12 students are scheduled to commence from May 4, 2021. The CBSE had already released the revised date sheets for the class 10 and class 12 board exams which are available on its website at cbse.gov.in.

Life's first board exam is a mixed feeling for the CBSE class 10 students. The students are excited and worried at the same time. Most of the students focus on the Science group to score high marks. However, if the students are thoroughly updated with the syllabus and prepare tactically then Social Science can also be very scoring for the class 10 students.

The CBSE class 10 Social Science Exam is scheduled to take place on May 27, 2021. Here is the syllabus for the exam and the marks division for the benefits of the students.

Unit 1 - India and the Contemporary World – II - 20 marks
Unit 2 - Contemporary India – II - 20 marks
Unit 3 - Democratic Politics - II - 20 marks
Unit 4 - Understanding Economic Development - 20 marks

The remaining 20 marks have been allotted to internal assessment and project work.

Following are the competencies on which the students will be marked :

Remembering and Understanding - 28 marks (35 per cent)
Applying - 15 marks (18.75 per cent)
Formulating, Analysing, Evaluating and Creating - 32 marks (40 per cent)
Map Skill - 5 marks (6.25 per cent)
