The CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2021 were cancelled this year due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the CBSE developed an alternative assessment criterion based on which the results of the CBSE Class 10th and 12th candidates have been prepared.

For CBSE 10th results 2021, the different categories of the tests and exams include periodic test / unit test, Half Yearly/ Mid-term exams and Pre-board exams. The maximum marks allotted for these three categories are 10, 30 and 40, respectively. The rest 20 marks has been from internal assessment.

Now, CBSE has not declared the results of the private candidates. The students who are studying in CBSE affiliated schools and appearing for the Class 10 and Class 12 exams for the first time are regular candidates. On the other hand, private candidates are those who were regular students of CBSE earlier and failed to qualify in the first or the second attempt and want to sit for an improvement exam or in an additional subject. Also, some candidates are private candidates from Delhi who are allowed to sit for the CBSE board exams like Patrachar and female candidates.

For the regular candidates, the CBSE prepared the results on the basis of the exams conducted by the schools. However, in case of the private candidates, the desired records are not available with the schools or CBSE. The CBSE has discussed this issue with the Supreme Court and it has been decided to conduct written exams for the private candidates. The CBSE has notified that the exams for the private and the patrachar candidates will be conducted between August 16, 2021 and September 15, 2021 and the details of the registration process will also be notified soon.
