CAT Exam 2022: The Common Admission Test (CAT) exam for admission to postgraduate management programmes in the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the participating non-IIM institutions is being conducted today, November 27 (Sunday). The exam is scheduled in three slots in 151 cities across the country.

It is a computer-based Common Admission Test. The question paper consists of three sections--Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. The duration of the test is 120 minutes.

According to the official notification, the results are likely to be declared by the second week of January 2023. The CAT 2022 score is valid only till December 31, 2023.

CAT Exam 2022: Dos and don'ts for exam day
- Cooperate with Test Centre staff during document Verification and frisking.  
- Barcode printed on the Admit Card will be scanned at the Scanning Desk. The location of test centre will be communicated after scanning the Barcode.  
- Use the Mouse to select the right Option as an answer for an MCQ and the on-screen Keyboard to answer a non-MCQ.  
- Admit Card, duly signed in the presence of the invigilator, should be dropped in the box provided before leaving the Test Lab.
- Candidates must provide their signature on the Attendance Sheet provided at the Registration Desk.  
- Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
- Do not request entry into the Test Centre after 8:15 a.m. for the Forenoon Session, after 12:15 p.m. for the Afternoon Session and after 4:15 p.m. for the Evening Session.
- Do not carry any prohibited items such as electronic gadgets, calculators etc. inside the test Lab.  
- Do not attempt to cheat or copy answers from others during the test.  
- Do not involve yourself in any arguments with other candidates or test centre staff. Decisions of the concerned authority will be treated as final on the test day.
- Do not wear any jewellery (or any item(s) containing metal), shoes/footwear with thick soles, and garments with large buttons inside the test centre.
