CBSE ICSE ISC Board Exam 2021: Due to the adverse COVID-19 situation in the country, after CBSE, the CISCE has also decided to cancel the ICSE class 10 board exams. As per an earlier notification, the CISCE had deferred the ICSE and ISC exams for class 10 and class 12 board exam candidates. However, the class 10 board exams stand cancelled as per the new notification, the class 12 board exams have been postponed as of now.

Last week, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced the cancellation of class 10 board exams and the postponement of class 12 board exams. The CBSE stated that the decision regarding the revised dates for the class 12 board exams will be taken after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021.

Now with the ICSE class 10 board exams cancelled, the students and the parents must be concerned about their admission to class 11. The notification issued by CISCE in this regard states, "All CISCE affiliated schools (having the ISC section) are hereby advised to begin the admission process for Class XI, if not started already." The notification further stated that the schools should prepare a schedule to start online classes for the class 11 students at the earliest. The ISC 2023 syllabus will have to be followed.

Regarding the CBSE class 10 results, it has been informed that the results of CBSE class 10 board exams will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the board. If any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.

Likewise, the CISCE has also suggested that a 'fair and unbiased criterion' will be formulated to prepare the results for ICSE class 10 board exam candidates. The date for the declaration of results will be informed by the CISCE later.

As far as, ISC class 12 board exams are concerned, the CISCE will decide on the revised schedule of the class 12 board exams by the first week of June 2021.
