JEE Main 2023 Result Highlights: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2023 Session 1 result soon. The JEE Main session 1 result 2023 will be announced for both Paper 1 (BE and BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch and BPlanning). The NTA had earlier released JEE Main answer key. All the candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2023 will be available to download the scorecard from the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.   The JEE Main 2023 exam was conducted on January 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2023, at various exam centres across the country.

    NTA will begin the Session 2 registration process for JEE Main Exam 2023 tomorrow, February 7.

    This year, over 9 lakh applicants registered for the JEE Main session 1. 8.6 lahks registered for paper 1 BE, BTech, and 0.46 lakh for paper 2 BArch and BPlanning.

  • JEE Main 2023 Result Session 1 Live: NTA drops 5 JEE Main 2023 questions

    This year, the NTA dropped five JEE Main 2023 questions in the final provisional answer key. However, it rectified the answers for two. 

  • JEE Mains 2023 Result: How to calculate marks 

    • To calculate marks, students need to count the total number of correct answers and the total number of incorrect answers.
    • JEE Main marks = Total correct questions X 4 – Total number of incorrect questions.
    • For example, out of the total 75 questions (25 each in Physics, Chemistry and Maths), you have 35 correct and 15 wrong answers.
  • How to calculate Percentile for JEE Mains Result

    The percentile calculates required details like the raw score of all the candidates as well as the total number of candidates who have appeared in one particular slot.

    The normalization formula is available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.  

    However, students may please note that since they do not have access to the total number of students as well as the raw score information of others, they cannot estimate their NTA score or percentile.
    The same, however, would be computed and shared by NTA once the scorecard is released.

    Step 1: Visit the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in or ntaresults.nic.in
    Step 2: Click on JEE Mains result 2023 link given on the homepage.
    Step 3: Enter the login details, as asked and submit.
    Step 4: Your JEE Main 2023 result will be displayed on the screen.
    Step 5: Download it and keep it saved.

  • JEE Mains 2023 Result: Marking scheme

    • Correct Answer or the Most Appropriate Answer Four marks (+4)
    • Incorrect Answer Minus one mark (-1)
    • Unanswered / Marked for Review No mark (0)
  • JEE Main 2023 Result: Eligibility for IIT JEE Advanced

    Candidates need to be among the top 2.5 lakh rank to qualify for JEE Mains.

    • Valid email and mobile number. To receive confirmation and verification messages from NTA, an active email address and mobile number is mandatory.
    • Class 10 and Class 12 certificates.
    • Aadhar card details.

    • Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable).
    • Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable).
    • Details for paying the application fee using net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.

    Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.

    Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.
