Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi, on Friday.

The PM will lay foundation stones and dedicate a total of 29 projects worth Rs 1800 crore related to education, health, sports, technology, and rural development.   

The PM will arrive in Kashi on March 24 at 10 AM, March 24, Friday, and stay in the city for five hours.

He will participate in three different programmes there. At the end of his visit, he will take lunch at the Circuit House.

Keeping in mind the Navratra fasting season, the PM's lunch will be full of fruits. It will contain dry fruit (panch meva) pudding, bitter gourd, roasted flour from lotus seeds, khichriphal, and lemonade.   

Minute-to-minute programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at the Babatpur International Airport in Varanasi at 10 AM on Friday, March 24, 2023.
  • Uttar Pradesh governor, Anandiben Patel, and chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, will receive the Prime Minister at the airport.
  • The Prime Minister will board a helicopter at the airport and travel to the Varanasi Police Line. From there, he will travel by road to the Rudraksha Convention Centre, where he will attend a conference organised by the Ministry of Health to celebrate World Tuberculosis Day.  
  • PM Modi will then move to the venue of the main programme- grounds of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. He will lay the foundation stone and dedicate 29 projects totaling Rs 1800 crore.
  • The PM will also see the model of the projected ropeway, worth Rs 644 crore. He will address 20,000 people there in a large gathering. On the ground, he will felicitate the winners of Khelo Banaras and also speak to them.
  • At the end of his programme, PM Modi will go to the new building of the circuit house. He will take a helicopter from Police Line to the airport. He will board an Air Force aircraft from there and return to New Delhi.
