According to the X post (formerly known as Twitter), Vistara said that due to air traffic congestion at the Goa Airport, flight UK847 will be diverted to Mumbai and is expected to arrive at Mumbai at 2:30 PM.

"#DiversionUpdate: Flight UK847 from Delhi to Goa (DEL-GOI) has been diverted to Mumbai (BOM) due to Air Traffic Congestion at Goa airport and is expected to arrive in Mumbai (BOM) at 1430 hours. Please stay tuned for further updates," Vistara said in the tweet.

The flight is expected to depart from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Goa's Dabolim Airport at 3:15 PM and will land in Goa at 5:15 PM, according to the Vistara's website.

Vistara is currently under a lot of turmoil in light of its flight cancellations and pilot dissatisfaction. The airline also released a statement on April 5 stating that they have suffered a significant number of flight cancellations and delays owing to various operational reasons and due to the high utilisation of resources. They also acknowledged that the recent experience of its customers fell short of the standards and they "sincerely apologised" for it.

Pilots who declared unwell and failed to report for duty caused the airline to experience a large number of flight cancellations. Subsequently, on Thursday, two pilots' unions said that the concerns voiced by Vistara pilots are not unique, but rather a sign of systemic difficulties that affect all aviation companies under the Tata Group.
