The reason behind this, according to the companies, is the rush and hassle at the airport. Both companies noted that Delhi airports are witnessing more passenger movement than usual, resulting in longer boarding and check-in time.

According to the advisory issued by Air India, the airline has asked passengers to reach Delhi airport at least 3.5 hours prior to domestic departures and 4 hours before their international flight departure times for faster movement at the Airport.

The company took the microblogging site to make the announcement.

"#DelhiAirportTravelAdvisory Passengers are advised to reach at least 3.5 hours for domestic and 4 hours for international before their flight departure times for faster movement at the Airport," Air India tweeted.
